Abstract

The importance of this research as it highlights on a part of our buried heritage in Yemen, which constitutes our history and identity, in an exceptional period of time in the history of Yemen, and adds something new to the Arabic literary library that is indispensable.

  The research aims to mention the most prominent artistic features that made the poet Al-Habal as one of top list of Yemeni poets for several centuries.

  These features focus on: Echoes of heritage the poetry of Habal.

    The research seeks to highlight on the areas of light in Al-Habal,s poetry through the echoes of heritage that formed his poetic lexicon and made him occopied that position by answering two questions:

  1. How the poetic test was formed in Al-Habal?
  2. What made him occupy a prominent famous among poets?
