Abstract

This research aims to study the semantic direction, according to the Almighty’s saying: “And indeed, she had intended for it, and he had intended for it, had he not seen the proof of his Lord” ( ) “semantic study” because of the great importance of this study in directing the pronunciation that surrounds the text, and its connection to the Qur’anic context and its clues. The study concluded that a single word is completely dependent in its meaning on the structure in which it is placed, without referring to other meanings raised around the word dictionarily and lexically, and thus its precise meaning is determined, and that the context is what allocates it and determines its meaning.
What is striking is that what happened between Joseph, peace be upon him, and Mrs. Zuleikha is nothing but the result of a long journey of temptation, and it is a realistic and honest depiction of the state of the righteous human soul in resistance, weakness, then holding fast to God in the end, and salvation.
